Saying I was excited would be a great understatement. I have ALWAYS wanted a yorkie! My plan was that once the kids were all in school I would get a little girl Yorkie to be my baby. I dreamed of dressing her and putting bows in he hair. I scooped up the puppy and jetted inside with my kiddos in tow. I immediatly noticed there was no collar and his poor hair was tangled and matted. So to me these were all signs that this poor puppy had been abandoned. :D Bad for him, good for me.
Immediatly names started running through my head. As I ran the pup a bath sweet girlie names ran through my mind until it was down to Sophie or Ella. Both sweet princess names my husband wouldn't let me use for our daughter. But these dreams soon came to an end when my DH came in and pointed out that my Princess had male parts. I was dissapointed but decided on naming him Jax. That is until my DD referred to him a Jaxie which is the same fate our poor turtle came too after being named Max. The kids now lovingly refer to his tank as Maxi's pad. :(
Drake has now been here 3 days and is adjusting well. He has been to drop off and pick the kids up from school and anywhere else I've gone. I have yet to figure out his potty schedule. It does however seem his favorite poop spot is the front door foyer which isn't that bad since it's hardwood and easy to clean. (YUCK!!) I'm still checking for lost yorkie ads but am truly hoping whoever lost him did it on purpose. I truly think he's awesome as does everyone in the house, including Olivia!

What a fun blog. Love the colors. You are super lucky. We've been trying to figure out what kind of dog would be good around this house. The kids have decided on fun and playful and furry, Dad wants a dog to clean up the floors after dinner and I want one who doesn't poop. So far we're holding out for my criteria and I just can't find one! Yorkies are adorable. Congratulations!

Oh he is adorable and perhaps it is no accident that he found by you.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of my mini doxie Rudi, shame on the other doxie for not being nice!
